Welcome to my Harry Potter fan fiction page.

My stories are available at schnoogle.com and fanfiction.net, but I've been asked occasionally by people who've read them on those sites if they're available as PDFs. So, I've set up this page.

The Post-OotP Trilogy:

Harry Potter and the Veil of Mystery (written in late 2003, after Order of the Phoenix)

The first fanfic (or any fiction of any kind) I ever wrote, the story continues where Order of the Phoenix left off. Dumbledore realizes that it was a mistake to isolate Harry in the previous year, and instead treats Harry as a full partner in the fight against Voldemort, involving Harry more than he would have thought possible. This story follows Harry and friends through his sixth year at Hogwarts, and focuses on two main questions: why is love Harry's 'power the Dark Lord knows not', and why does Dumbledore trust Snape?

Harry Potter and the Ring of Reduction (written in early-mid 2004, sequel to Veil of Mystery)

This story follows Harry and his friends through their seventh year, up to the final confrontation with Voldemort. Harry continues to encourage people both inside and outside Hogwarts to join the fight against Voldemort, while at the same time struggling with the sense of responsibility he feels when those who join him in his fight are killed. Harry has to deal with a new Minister as well as adapt to dealing with Snape now that he knows Snape's secrets.

Phoenix Intuition (written in early 2005, sequel to Ring of Reduction)

Set four years after Harry and friends graduate from Hogwarts, this story follows a different format than the first two in the trilogy: it does not focus exclusively on Harry, is not from his POV, and is not set primarily at Hogwarts. Harry's quiet life is disrupted by an American wizard who suffered great personal tragedy and turned to Dark magic, using stealth and chaos to exact retribution on those he blames for his lot. He also involves the Muggle world in his plans, to the extent that the exposure of the wizarding world to Muggles becomes a serious danger. Hermione's past mistakes come back to haunt her, an error in judgment causes a crisis in Ron's relationship, one setback after another leaves Ginny frustrated and doubtful of her maternal abilities, and Harry finds himself unable to help his friends. Other significant characters include Luna, Snape, Colin, Neville, Pansy, Dudley, Arthur, and several characters introduced in the first two stories.

The Post-Deathly Hallows Stories:

Harry Potter and the Antiquity Link (written in late 2007/early 2008, after Deathly Hallows)

Begins 24 hours after the end of Deathly Hallows. Facing life after Voldemort, Harry finds himself mentally out of sorts and has no idea why, preferring to 'hide out in Grimmauld Place' rather than go out in public, help Kingsley rebuild wizarding society, or seriously consider his future with Ginny. Meanwhile, angry goblins demand Harry's arrest and restitution for damage done to Gringotts, dementors unleash their wrath as Kingsley refuses to allow them back into Azkaban, and Narcissa Malfoy makes demands of Harry in return for having saved his life. Not feeling ready to deal with any of these things, Harry finds he has little choice.

The central question of this story is: what was the psychological toll on Harry of the events of the seven published stories? He'd been through all kinds of trauma, culminating in a decision to give up his life to save wizarding society. What would that do to a person? This story was about answering that question, both for the reader and for Harry himself.

Harry Potter and the Amulet of the Moon
(written in early 2009, sequel to Antiquity Link)

Following the disastrous events at the end of the previous story, Harry and members of Dumbledore's Army prepare to take their roles as the protectors of wizarding society. They travel to an isolated island and go back in time a year to get extra time to train. Being isolated should protect them from problems involving dangers to the timeline, but they soon encounter a different problem they never could have imagined. Though he didn't travel to the island with them, Draco Malfoy is an important character in this story, which asks the question: what if the most important event in your life had happened differently? Would you have become a different person than you are now? Not sure where he falls on the spectrum between good and evil, Malfoy has a chance to find out the answer to this question.
